The name of this new bar may be familiar to you as it decorated the rather fetching mauve fresher’s wristbands this year. Next to Stone and just off market square, Kudos is in an easy to reach and fairly busy area.

However, despite this advertising and prime location, to say the bar was dead the night I visited would be the understatement of the year. In the upstairs room meant for 300+ people, the spacious dance floor was occupied by three lone dancers spinning around to chart music with accompanying music videos projected behind them onto three large screens.

Once the word gets round about its existence, Kudos’ Monday and Tuesday’s student nights (bring proper I.D) look set to be good with doors opening at 7 and closing at 3am with some decent student drink deals on offer to boot.

As I found it on a very quiet Thursday, there was nothing that special about Kudos, but the potential is there. Definitely one to watch out for.
