A fresh and engaging experience in the authentic wonders of Indian cuisine, Tamatanga is a curry lover’s paradise. The ‘new kid’ on the block a short walk away from the buzzing Cornerhouse complex, it has a comfortable, inviting atmosphere with food that’s rewardingly tasty and delectably inventive. The funky muralled walls and lounge music creates a modern vibe with a playful hint of eastern culture, whilst massive wooden tables offer a laid back canteen style setting. They pride themselves on delivering quick service and a menu suited to all diners’ needs, from a big evening meal to a light-hearted bite before the movies. The food ranges from a simple but tantalising chicken tikka masala at £7.95 or for the more adventurous a goan fish curry at £8.95, whilst the inspired list of pudding selections might keep you guessing, rasmalai at £3.95, none are likely to disappoint. With a 20% student discount, this gem of a restaurant is certainly worth the trip if you can handle the spice!
