Billy, Charlotte and Josh took to the stage to the cheers of the capacity Rock City crowd and they did not disappoint. This was the final stop on their 9 week European tour and they made sure it ended in style. Billy’s much publicised throat problem and split from bassist Charlotte, were clearly a thing of the past as this was The Subways at their very best.

They raced into ‘Kalifornia’ which was followed by crowd favorite ‘Oh Yeah’ for the first of many a crowd sing-a-long. They rattled through the majority of their two albums with ‘Lostboy’ being particularly well received in its first ever live performance in the UK.

The finale was something to behold as every word of ‘Rock ‘n’ Roll Queen’ was screamed/shouted/sung back at the three-piece. A couple of stage dives later from the top of the speakers and the show was done, a truly memorable experience. Charlotte closed by saying, ‘See you next year!’ and I most certainly will, for another high energy, fun performance.
