Elizabeth ‘Egg’ Goddard has been elected as next year’s Education Officer after a by-election to find a replacement for Michael De Vletter, who stood down as Exec-elect a week after SU elections. Goddard narrowly beat closest rival Charlotte Elver by fourteen votes to secure the position.

In the BME election, which was re-run after no candidates stood for the original election, Rebecca Schapira beat Max Sobell to the position.

The turn out for the elections was a mere 1,740, a figure that highlights the difficulties faced by candidates and Executive alike in trying to campaign and get students voting at a time of year when most would rather hide away in the library and focus on getting a 2:1.
