Take part in our ‘Picture This Song’ Photography Competition
Our next photography competition is here!
‘Picture This Song’ – choose your favourite song title or your favourite lyric as the theme for your photograph. It can be any song from any artist – you decide. It’s then up to you to relate an appropriate photograph with the words. The image you enter should in essence explain the song title or lyric you have chosen without needing any further description. Please remember: lyric entries must be only one or two lines of a song, not the entire song.
An example of a title entry could be: Coldplay – “Paradise” coupled with a photograph of your idea of paradise. Lyric entries could follow the example of: “coffee black and egg white” from Counting Crows’ song ‘Colourblind’ could be matched with a black and white photograph of coffee. (These examples will NOT be accepted as competition entries).
The winner of the competition will have their photograph printed on a full page in the magazine, and will be featured on our website. The two runner ups will also have their entries displayed on our website. Click here to see previous competitions and the winning entries.
This competition is only open to current University of Nottingham students and the deadline is the 15th of December. You may enter up to two photographs per person. Please send in your entry to images@impactnottingham.com with your chosen song title/ lyric, who the artist is, your name, and your mobile contact number.
Don’t forget to join Impact Images and Design’s Facebook page to stay updated about our activities and further opportunities to get involved.
