Here are Impact’s tips for unmissable arts events in February:
Anish Kapoor @ Nottingham Castle, until 11th March. Reflect on your inner void after a gluttonous Christmas holiday and treacherous month of exams.
‘Everything Is Happening At Once’ by Rashid Rana @ New Art Exchange, until 31st March. It follows Rana’s first major UK solo show in Manchester; the exhibition will include new work which ‘cuts across conventional notions of the scale and status of the photographic object’.
‘Shakespeare’s Villains’ @ Nottingham Playhouse, 7th February. In his one man show Steven Berkoff will help you brush up on your Shakespeare knowledge and will have you crying out like Hamlet, “O villain, villain, smiling, damned villain!”
‘The Kings Speech’ @ Nottingham Theatre Royal 13th February-18th February. Nottingham will be the second stop for the world premiere of David Seidler’s original play which inspired his Oscar winning film.
‘The Off-White Horse’ @ New Theatre, 15th February-18th February. By Adam H. Wells, it deals with family life around a child with autism, 50% of proceeds will go to a charity for autism.
