Ones to Watch, an online blog which works in partnership with Guardian Students to promote and share good student journalism in the UK, has announced that Impact Magazine has made the shortlist for its inaugural ‘Student Publication of the Year’ award.

Up against well-regarded student media outlets such as The Boar, Cherwell and York Vision, Impact is the only candidate to have been nominated ‘Student Publication of the Month’ twice in the last academic year.  According to Ones to Watch, Impact was chosen primarily for its “fantastic investigative features”.

The first stage of the selection process is an open vote, which any member of the public can take part in.  Following this, the top three will announced and a winner chosen from the three by the Ones to Watch team.

Voting for the award is open until the 20th August 2012 – the link to the voting page can be found here.
