Many of us have experienced New Year’s Eves that leave you with the disappointed feeling of not meeting your expectations of your dream night. All of the organisation for this once a year soiree is sometimes thrown back in your face with a seemingly average night and the consequential disillusionment of New Year’s Eve culture. So to ensure your New Year’s Eve does not disappoint this year Impact Features has made a list of events that Nottingham has to offer.
Spread across three different venues: Rock City, Stealth and Rescue Rooms, Dollop hosts undoubtedly one of the biggest New Year’s Eve nights in Nottingham. With huge names already on the line up and more to be announced, the only problem you’ll have on this night out is deciding which of the big names you want to see.
With the warehouse location still to be announced, Wigflex’s description on their Facebook event explains how they will be turning the venue into “a magical playground” with LONE and Happa to set the tone. Hosting a stage at the electronic music festival Gottwood and huge nights at The Brickworks throughout the year, you can trust these local guys to host a night with great music and good vibes.

Detonate is at The Brickworks this year with a line up to suit your garage needs with the return of DJ EZ, alongside Logan Sama and Holy Goof bringing some grime and bass. The Warehouse’s intimate atmosphere, edgy surroundings and sociable smoking area for when you want a break is set to make a great New Year’s event.
If you’re looking for a more traditional New Year’s Eve event there will be a fireworks display at Nottingham Castle. This event will be perfect for those of you wanting to wrap up warm and enjoy some winter festivities. There will be drinks, stalls and live music for you to enjoy and the entry to the event is completely free!
If you’re looking for an elegant occasion, you can get dressed up and feel sophisticated at one of Nottingham’s higher end events. Hosted at The Bowery, Aces offers you champagne upon arrival, with a mix of R&B and house music all night long. At this chic event you can greet the New Year in your best outfit.
