A car collided with a motorcyclist on Lenton Boulevard this evening, injuring an adult male.

The accident occurred at approximately 8:30pm; a large police van, two police cars and two ambulances were at the scene and police had blocked off the road. The man has been taken to hospital, the state of his injuries are unconfirmed.

“A man was lying in the middle of the road flat on his back with a thermal blanket on”

A police officer at the site said that he could not confirm the precise details of the events as yet but an investigation is currently been undertaken. The road has been cornered off with police tape to allow this investigation to take place.

A University of Nottingham student present at the scene told Impact that “a man was lying in the middle of the road flat on his back with a thermal blanket on but he did appear to be moving”.

More to follow.
