Impact Food is offering its readers the chance to win a meal for four at Belgo! Details below.

The new Belgian restaurant is opening in Nottingham on Wednesday April 6th.

Specialising in mussels and fries (moules frites) and Belgian beers (56 in total!), here at Impact we think it’s great that Belgo has chosen Nottingham as its first location outside of London.

Mussels are fresh, rope grown, sustainable and you can choose between thirteen flavours.

“What if I don’t like mussels?” – I hear you cry? Fear not, Belgo boasts many other Belgian specialities to make your mouth water, like carbonade (slow cooked ox cheeks in Belgian beer), wild boar sausage and stoemp mash as well as freshly grilled lobster, rotisserie chicken and home-made slaw plus burgers which come with giant pickled gherkins.  All the steaks (and burgers) are premium British beef served with double-cooked frites.

Of course, no Belgian meal would be without the classic Belgian waffles or crepes.
