According to a new QS World University league table, the University of Nottingham (UoN) ranks as one of the best universities internationally for many of its subjects.

The QS World University Ranking by Subject has noted that UoN is ‘an elite institution in 37 of the 46 subjects surveyed’.

“The University of Nottingham was placed 6th in Pharmacy & Pharmacology”

The University of Nottingham was placed 6th in Pharmacy & Pharmacology, 22nd in Education, 36th in Anatomy & Physiology, 29th in Veterinary Science, 42nd in Nursing, 46th in Geography and 49th in English Language & Literature.

Emily Terry, a first year Aerospace and Engineering student, told Impact: “It shows how UoN is a good all-round university. More people will be encouraged to come here and experience the student life”.

A total of 4,438 universities were evaluated as part of the survey, with 1117 institutions making the ranking.

“We’re very proud of the breadth of subjects we offer at Nottingham”

Dr Paul Greatrix, registrar at The University of Nottingham, said: “We’re very proud of the breadth of subjects we offer at Nottingham. To be ranked so highly across this range is testament to our exceptional teaching standards and the level of quality we demand from both students and staff.

“Yet again Pharmacy & Pharmacology has placed in the top 10 which we are especially proud to see.”
