Flora Maier has been announced as the new Women’s Officer.

Two candidates ran for the position. After 1 round of voting, Flora secured the position with 1,290 votes.

Speaking to Impact, Flora said that she was “really, really excited”.

Flora enjoyed the whole campaigning process, explaining the challenge of taking a group of ideas and “then having to implement them”.

To celebrate the victory, she plans to “actually have a drink” having given up alcohol for lent.

Nevertheless, she also looked towards the challenge of the next year’s role. In this position, she wants to continue to work “with a team of people who worked really hard” in the campaigning process.
