BREAKING: Stabbing in Lenton

A man was stabbed in Lenton in the early hours of Sunday 5th June.

Nottinghamshire Police confirmed this afternoon that a 30 year old man was stabbed in the early hours of this morning.

The man was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre following the attack, after emergency services were called at around 4:30am on Sunday morning.

“The stabbing took place on Willoughby Street”

The stabbing took place on Willoughby Street, close to the Raw Physique gym.

Nottinghamshire Police have said that the man “was taken to Queen’s Medical Centre” due to injuries to his “body and head”, believed to be caused by a knife.

Officials state that the “injuries are not believed to be life-threatening” and that the man is “in a stable condition”.

“Nottinghamshire Police urge “anyone who witnessed what happened or who has any information to call 101″”

“Detectives are working to establish exactly what took place”, they added.

Nottinghamshire Police urge “anyone who witnessed what happened or who has any information to call 101, quoting incident number 203 of June 5, 2016”.

The attack appears to be unrelated to the stabbing in Hyson Green earlier this week.
