Impact is official magazine for students at The University of Nottingham, and has been printed in numerous forms for longer than anyone on its staff can remember. At the moment it’s a monthly, glossy magazine that can be picked up free from distribution boxes across Nottingham campuses. Impact has also maintained an online presence here since Wednesday 8 January 2006. Both magazine and website are run on a voluntary basis using funds from the Students' Union.

The Editors

Impact's thirty or so editors perform a range of tasks. Many are jointly in charge of a section such as Sports, Arts or Music, but Impact also has a team of people who organize photos, design our pages, publicize the magazine and generally make sure everything works smoothly.

Contributors

Of course, Impact would be nothing without its writers. Here, contributions great and small to the completion of each issue are noted. We salute you, contributors. Not only that, but very shortly we will be listing all of your efforts on this page. Watch this space!

Get Involved

Impact aims to cover as many areas of interest to the student population as possible. This is done through our regular sections – News, Sport, Travel, Style, Arts, Film, Music and Nights – and through one-off features on various topics of interest to students, from university finance, to multicultural integration, to how many pints or glasses of wine you can safely drink a night. We also publish a range of comment and opinion, and we’re open to articles both serious and humorous.

We welcome student comments on our articles and invite you to get involved with the magazine by writing your own features, news and reviews.

The Impact office is on University Park campus, on the West Mezzanine of the Portland Building. We are on Floor D, at the top of the West staircase, opposite the Chaplains’ offices; follow the signs and you should find us. Pop in if you have any ideas or just want to find out what Impact is all about.
